August Club Meeting

The next club meeting will be Tuesday, August 2nd at the Southeast Mutual Insurance Company boardroom. The meeting starts at 7pm. Address is:

The boardroom has a separate entrance which is located at the front of the building (towards Coverdale Road).

Should be a lively meeting as it follows a couple days after Slalom@Slemon, MMSC signature event. Lots to talk about on the MHPDC and TRAC race series as well. Should also be some discussion on some fun events (karting at ECK anyone?) Come on out and hear some news and reports at the club and the region! See you there!

2011 Slalom @ Slemon: July 29-31 (Sale Notice)

Enter before midnight, Thursday, July 21st and I will refund the $20 late fee. We need solid numbers before the end of the week so that’s the deadline. If you’re thinking of attending and haven’t registered yet, this is your chance. For the people that already paid the late fee, I will refund it. LIMITED TIME OFFER! If you know anyone that hasn’t entered that would, pass it along. Note: when you register online, you will pay the $100 entry fee. I will issue a $20 refund when I process the entry.

Slalom @ Slemon will be held on July 29-31. Friday, July 29th is the test & tune. Saturday is the first slalom event followed by a dinner in the evening. Sunday is the second slalom event followed by an awards ceremony shortly after. [Link to the entry forms]

Van Party! July 16th @ IRAC **POSTPONED**

The club van is getting ready for it’s annual trip to Slemon Park, PEI. There are a number of items that could be done before it makes the journey and a spare set of hands is always welcome! We have scheduled a van party for July 16th. The van is currently at Gerry Boudreau’s shop, IRAC in Memramcook. If you plan on dropping by, give Mike or me a shout. Should be a good time!

On another Slemon related note, we have also tentatively plan on going down to Slemon Park on July 17th to do some preparations for Slalom@Slemon. If you would like to help out, send me a message and I will give you more information. Thanks!

UPDATE: Van party is postponed. Will do some work during the week at 44 Kensington. If you want to lend a hand, contact Mike. The Slemon prep party is a go for Sunday. Let me know if you want to help out!

MMSC is holding the annual Slalom @ Slemon on July 29 through 31. Friday, July 29th is the test & tune. Saturday is the first slalom event followed by a dinner in the evening. Sunday is the second slalom event followed by an awards ceremony shortly after. There are quite a few people entered. The entry fee is $100 CAD. You can register and pay online at the MMSC website (direct link here). You can also print off an entry form (also at the link above) and submit it and your payment in person or via snail mail at:

MMSC Club Camp-Out and Regional Races @ AMP: June 25-26

The club is holding its annual club camp-out at Atlantic Motorsport Park (AMP) on June 25th. This is a great social event for the club and has been very popular the past few years. Come on down to AMP and hang out with your fellow club members!     Bob and Bonnie will be feeding the MMSC crew so let them know if you plan on attending so they have enough food for everyone.

June 25 and 26 are also ARMS regional race dates. TRAC series race #2 and #3 will be held those days so show up early and watch some good racing as well. If you have a lapping/solosprint/race license, you can also do some lapping between the races. There is a link to the on-line registration is here.

Sort of got buried in my to do list. MMSC is holding the annual Slalom @ Slemon on July 29 through 31. Friday, July 29th is the test & tune. Saturday is the first slalom event followed by a dinner in the evening. Sunday is the second slalom event followed by an awards ceremony shortly after. Registration is currently open! Early registration runs until June 24th. Before then, the entry fee is only $80 CAD. The entry fee increases to $100 CAD after June 24th. You can register and pay online at the MMSC website (direct link here). You can also print off an entry form (also at the link above) and submit it and your payment in person or via snail mail at:
